Sewing for me

I picked up these complete kits, which included patterns and all materials, from the op-shop.
Only $3 each.

This is them sewn up.
This is only the second pair of knickers I've every sewn and the third bra.
I still need to do a lot more practice in sewing elastic evenly and setting my tricot stitch correctly.
But I'm pretty happy with this set.

I really like the patterns. The knickers are generous and cover my full bottom well. The Bra is a really nice fit too, I left the underwires out as I don't have any. Next time I'm in the op-shop I'll buy an old bra and re-claim the underwires.

Love these! I've never tried sewing a bra. Great job.

WOW!! You talents are never ending. I think you might be on to something with the bra's, market for people like me who have big boobs and hate the HUGE ugly styles and straps avaliable in my price range. I think I need one, that hopefully doesn't resemble the ones I have now. They look like a truck tarp, or Grain silo covers.

Oh Wow, they look fab! A great find and a great set. When I was buying my nursing bras and paying silly amounts of money I kept thinking, surely I could make these! (but I chickened out). Good job Tracy you cease to amaze me with your talents.

What a pretty set! I am sure you can easily duplicate them now that you have the pattern.

I think I should put you in my will for all my knitwit patterns.
I made bathers and knickers and cami's but drew the line at bras.
I think if you stretch both the fabric and the elastic it works. I would probably remember once I started ...quite unlikely at the moment.
You are incredible. I am in awe.

Hey, I know this is a really old post but I just had to comment...
I got one of these sets back in the early 90's and made it up back then.

It was one of the most comfortable bras I owned at the time! I still have the pattern somewhere, was going to make more but never got around to it!
