Washcloth/dishcloth create-a-long - Day 8

What happened to Day 8?
Heather and I went to Adelaide for a catch up with the Crafty Mama's.
Nanny came along too, to get a cuddle with the newest grandchild.
Karen and nanny took turns cuddling with Heather.
While I tucked into a plate of Swedish Meatballs and a couple of cakes!

It was a wonderful catch up.
Tas, Karen, Helen, Ali and Ali's friend Karen were all there.
Becci and Kym missed out this time.
Lots of talking, laughter and eating.
I love being a part of the Crafty Mama Community.

Nanny and Heather.

Karen and Heather.

It was a long day.
We left here at 7:30 am and didn't get home until after 10pm.
A return drive of over 400kms.
Heather slept the trip down and screamed for a lot of the trip back.
There were lots of stops and feeds but in the end I just had to drive and try to stay calm with poor Heather screaming.
So no cloths were made on Day 8.

One more sleep to go....

Tomorrow morning I head off on a girls road trip.

I'm heading to Sewjourn, Lancefield ,Victoria to spend the weekend with The Crafty Mamas. We have plans for crafting, eating and laughing.

On the way there I'm picking up Tas from Adelaide and we are stopping a night at Bendigo. Where we have plans of spending up at the Bendigo Woolen Mills.

I won't be home until Tuesday, six child free days. Five nights of uninterrupted sleep!

A Random Act Of Kindness - for me

Someone I never met thought about me.
And I received this parcel in the mail.

These books are wonderful. Full of vintage patterns for children. The oldest of them uses a basic pattern to draft the patterns yourself.

Thank you so much. I love them and they will be used and looked after. And I will Pay your kindness forward :)

Friendship Quilt

My dear friend Sue sent me a picture of a friendship quilt I participated in a few years ago. It was great to see it finished. Seeing it brought back many happy memories of our little group which met each Wednesday night in the Craft Rooms of Territory Craft in Tennant Creek. Many of the creators of the quilt have moved from Tennant Creek and I've lost contact with some. But I'll always cherish the memories of the laughter and fun we shared. Especially the sleep over we had one night!
