Yet More ....Making Baby's Clothes by Rob Merrett

Another design from Rob Merrett's Making Baby's Clothes.
I tweaked the cami a little.
I replaced the ties with straps and used fold over elastic instead of bias.

I want to make a couple of outfits for Michael too.
Will have to wait until I have a little more time.

 She's off and running now.
Walking wasn't enough.

I managed to sneak down the shed this morning while Heather was asleep.
Pa and Pete were Jack hammering out the remains of the wall.
The bath has been moved to it's temporary spot so the boys can knock the new door way into the bathroom.

I escaped to the shed..

And got a little sewing done.
I designed and made this little crochet hook roll for Aunty Joan.
 With pockets for her hooks,
a flap to keep them from falling out
and a loop for hanging scissors on.
I am going to make another and I'll take some photos for a tutorial.

And I made Aunty Joan a balloon ball too.
I left the tuning opening at the top this time and button hole stitched the opening.

Now we just need to tuck the end in.

When all else fails, it's time for the Angle Grinder.

The day started with the destruction of the shower.

The Professional arrived to give the boys a hand.

Things just weren't moving so a new strategy was needed.

If we can't knock it over we'll cut it down!

And down comes the door frame and the lintel.

Still too heavy to carry out so a little more work with the Jack Hammer.

Happy 1st Birthday Miss Heather Louise

Three generations celebrated and ate cake.
Pa and Great-Aunt Joan were with us for Heather's first birthday.

Heather enjoyed her cake very much.

It was difficult to make a cake when my kitchen was full of dust and rubble.

The boys and Aunty Joan started on the second wall today.

Have you seen a Great-Granny armed with a Jack hammer before?
Great Aunt Joan acted as trademan's assistant.

Look how solid those lintels are!
Solid concrete, demolishing them will be a job for the professional.
