I'm still 3kg to go to goal.
But I'm struggling staying on track.
The exercise I'm doing easy and loving.
It the food I'm wrestling with again.
You'd think fitting into size 10 jeans would be all the inspiration I need to stay on track.
But you'd be wrong it seems.
The bad habits are sneaking in.
The self talk goes .."oh, you've done so well. Go on you can have a chocolate eclair with that coffee"
Or "mmm those biscuits smell so good just one won't hurt" ..nine biscuits later!
Pattern: Ruched T from Interweave knits 2011
Yarn: Panda Heath (50c a ball! only took 5!)
Needled: 4mm
It sure is quicker to knit for the new body and cheaper too!
The reality is I am always going to have to watch my weight.
And that is the reality for most of us.
You can't just get to goal and stop eating well and exercising.
If you do, you end up back at the start again.
Which is why it is so important for this to be a life change not a diet.
It's got to be something you do for life.
So that eclair and those biscuits will need a little extra work in the gym and I'll need to be a little more careful in what else I put into my mouth this week and hopefully at the end of the week I won't have gained.
But if I have it's not the end of the world is it?
Because this is a life change not a diet.
And it's ok to have the occasional indulgence as long as I stay on track.
So the photos are going up on the blog a little early to keep me motivated and on track.

Tracy, you look absolutely fabulous! Kudos.
Hope you feel as good as you look!! Congratulations on what you have achieved. Good luck in maintaining your good health. Libby
You look fabulous!! Thank you for sharing your photos...I feel inspired and ready to make some big changes myself.
Amazing photos Tracy. You should be so proud of yourself.
I know that feeling exactly. I am hoping that I come back in my next life as a natural eater and I hope each day that my kids don't have the life long battle that we have. One day at a time...
You look lovely, you are doing a wonderful job. You know that if you have a bikkie or three then it means an extra few minutes of exercise so don't stress about it too much. Just do the extra time without the guilt. Maybe you need a copy of that 'before' photo on the fridge - you look so tired and a little bit sad/ In the 'after/now' pic you are GLOWING! So, well done that girl! Size 10 jeans is wonderful - and I hope that all your American readers understand that a size 10 for us is really MUCH smaller for them - I think that is a 6. You will feel better as you get lighter cos you can move faster, it is just a bit harder to lose those last few kgs cos it doesn't take as much energy now to cart all that extra stuff around. Maybe hang a few big bags of rice around your neck to remind you of how far you have already come. Inspirational!!! Hugs, Jas
Tracy, you look fabulous, and even better, very happy! I'm sure that your hubby and kids are very proud of you.
Wow - you look amazing. Slimmer (obviously!) but happier and younger too. You've inspired me to get organised again - it does take focus doesn't it? I saw a book in the bookshop the other day called something like "how to lose the last 5 kilos" - so I'm thinking maybe it's quite common to get very close to your goal and struggle a bit towards the finish line? Good luck, you'll do it!
Hi Tracy

You have done so well :)
the look on your face says " I am so proud of me" and way to go girl you stuck to your guns...I hope over time the urge for them nasty foods may dwindle for you-I think you are more focussed now and will stay on track.,cheers Vickie
Wow Tracy! You look amazing! Hope the last couple of kg dont take too long. I guess the next hurdle is keeping to that weight. I had a dream a couple of weeks ago where I had lost several kg - must have been some sort of sign ... I really must try harder. Like you said, it's a life-style change, not a diet. Congratulations.
Wow you are so looking great and so young too. :D
Tracey - I have to jump on the bandwagon and say you look fantastic! Thank you for posting these photos - they are so inspiring!!
Oh Tracy you look AMAZING!!!!! Wow, seriously WOW I had no idea you were achieving so well. I know those voices, it is good that u can exercise as a balance to those cookies. Well done!!!
