Gnomes in the Garden

 

These three little fellows have been exploring my garden.

They were created following the directions from Weefolkart.com

I knitted the baby, toddler and dolly.

I didn't read the pattern properly and garter stitched the faces on two of them.

But I think they are still rather cute.

 The three knitted gnomes came to visit with my little felt gnomes.

I made these little ones using the instructions from two different websites.

 The gnomes met up in the Garden for a party.

They partied so hard that they got very tired.

 

And had to go have a sleep in their crochet sleeping bags

Making Waldorf Dolls

Fabulous book!
Directions are easy to follow.
Ten doll designs. pattern for clothes too.

I made the first project in the book.

I made two because the kids fought over the first.

This is the Tiny baby doll.
Cotton velour for the body, wool stuffing, cotton tricot for the head and handspun wool for the hair.

I then went on to make the second doll....

I varied the instructions because I used my good tricot on the head and wasn't prepared to hide it under the velour. So I cut a hole in the velour and attached the head ;) I lightly stuffed the body too which is lovely and soft.

I bought my book through Winterwood toys when I bought the wool stuffing, cotton tricot and velour.

Missy Lissy

Here is Missy Lissy. 

I used a Womens Weekly pattern for her.

I crocheted a little dress for her.

No young lady should be seen without her Mary Janes.

nor her knickers!

Her hair must be brushed and adorned. Lissy likes to wear a headband to keep her hair out of her pretty black eyes.

My First Waldorf Doll.

This is the first Waldorf style doll I have made.

I'm pleased with it. I love how it feels and how cuddly it is.

I bought a kit and pattern to make this doll from Sara's Dolls in Australia.

The dress is crocheted by me from a Vicki Moodie Book Crochet Outfits for dolls and prembabies.

Blue The Calico Rag Doll

This little doll is made of calico and poly-fil

I crochet him some shorts and a t-shirt.

I was making him shoes but like his owner he didn't like wearing them.

Handspun and Knitted Sack doll

I followed the directions from The Handmaden to make this little fellow.
I spun the yarn from a Romney Fleece.

The head is made of wool and Cotton tricot

Knotted Dolls

These little dolls were made following the directions from HERE.

These are quick to make and very cute.

When I make them again I'll lengthen the legs as it's very hard to tie knots with them as they are. I think this was because I used a very plush fabric.
