What did you learn to sew on?

Candice over on Nappycino forum started a discussion thread asking,
What did you learn to sew on?

This was the first machine I bought.
I bought her in 1995 at a lawn sale in Alice Springs.
I paid $20 for her.
She's a Princess, I'm not sure when she was made but I'm guessing 1960's.
It only sews a straight and zigzag stitch.
I had done some sewing lessons at high school and played with an old machine of my mums.
I sewed my first item of clothing on this machine and my very first quilt.

She is belt driven.
The motor is on the outside.

The bobbin is wound in a special winder and is also belt driven.

She came with a manual, many different feet, bobbins and a plate.

She still sews beautifully.
